Gecko

Hello
I've been away quite a lot and also had visitors to stay so the craft room had to resort back to a guest room for a while. Finally it's been lovely to spend some time getting inky fingers again!

The gecko was stencilled first, then masked off and the leaves stencilled afterwards. With hindsight I think I would do things a little differently (not centre the gecko so it appears static for a start) so you may see another of these sometime in the future. I also used a lot of different materials in a bit of trial and error approach. More selective next time I think!

I'd really welcome your feedback and constructive comments. As they say practise makes perfect!

Materials used:
Inkylicious: gecko
GiogioCraft: jungle fever, gerbera daisy
Distress Oxide ink
Inktense ink
Stabilo All pencil
paint pens
gel pens

Doors of Lisbon and Porto

Hello
This is the last of my posts related to recent travels in Portugal. I was amazed by the variety of doors that we saw and all more elaborate and sturdy than we would normally see on your average residence in the UK. Here are just a few of the ones that stood out and as before feel free to use them for reference photos if you like.

Who'd have thought doors could be so exciting each with their own story to tell?!

Thank you for taking the time to look xxx

Tiles of Lisbon and Porto

Hi there
This is a post for tile lovers. Our recent trip to Portugal was great for inspiration for patterns and designs. I'm always looking for reference photos so it seemed like a good idea to start to build up my own collection and I'm more than happy for others to use them for inspiration too.

Lots of lovely maths and symmetry in tiles. Pretty too!

Have a great day xxx
