Look at Me!

Hello
My project today is a bit of fun with the Tando whimsical birds.

There are lots of pieces in the pack for you to mix and match and enough for several projects. My birds turned out looking like penguins...or so people tell me!

For more details take a look at The Craft Barn blog. There are lots of Tando items in the sale.

I'm off now for a bit of a play in the craft room. Thanks for stopping by xxx

Get Carried Away

Hello there
Getting my crafting back on with a bit of card making over the weekend. I've been having a play with another of the StempelBar stamps picked up on my travels last summer.

This is a favourite technique of mine at present, combining silhouettes with stencilled backgrounds. I made the backgrounds by swooshing the paper through wet Distress Oxide ink and then adding layers of stencilling on top.

I stamped the Banksy balloon girl and masked off before adding the scratches. I finished off with highlights in white gel pen and a computer generated sentiment.

I got carried away having a bit of a play with some different colours and stencils.

Thank you for taking time to visit. Hope you have a great week ahead. xx

Materials used:
StempelBar: SB-UM0895-II
Stampers Anonymous: slight alterations
Carabelle Studio: London
Tando, Carabelle Studio and Ranger stencils
Distress Oxide Ink
Archival Ink

Art-C Endeavours

Hello
It's a bit nippy tonight where I am, so not easy to be thinking about summer and sunshine. I was obviously feeling full of the joys of Spring when I created the project that's live on The Craft Barn blog today.

It's using the Art-C mini house box kit and makes a fun little desk ornament.

Not quite got my creative spark back after a hectic Christmas...maybe a hot chocolate and early night might do the trick! Spring is just around the corner...

Perfume Bottle Card and Tag

Hello
My first Craft Barn post of the year has gone live today with a pretty card and tag. The Craft Barn seasonal sale is well underway so do take a look for some bargains.

I used a stamping tool so colours could be overlaid to get shading and depth on the bottle.

I made the little tag with shrink plastic and glossy accents...

...and decorated a little glass bottle with alcohol inks.

Smile It's 2018!

Hello and a Happy New Year

I hope your 2018 is off to a good start. I was determined to do some crafting today but energy levels are still a bit depleted after a few very hectic weeks. I settled for making a few cards with bits and pieces that I have had lying around for a while, thus tidying up at the same time!

The backgrounds are made using Brusho and stencils through the BigShot. A technique I picked up from last year's Clarity Stamp calendar. (A present from a dear crafty friend...and guess what...I was given one for this year too!)

The layers were made using Tonic dies coloured with Distress Oxides.

The New Year off to a good start by saying hello to 2018 with a smile. I hope that this year brings you and your loved ones happiness and fulfilment. xxx
