End of the March printing challenge

Hello

Just a quick one to share the last three prints for the @Gelliarts #marchprintingchallenge. It's definitely kept me occupied when we haven't been able to go out much and helped to keep the spirits up. As if to herald the end we have changed the clocks to British summer time, the days are bright and warm and the trees are looking lovely. Very fitting that the last prompt is signs of spring.

29. favourite animal

30. botanicals

31. signs of spring

If you've been following my progress I'd love to know which you liked the best. I think 'letters' was my favourite.

Take care and happy dreams xx

March printing challenge - week 4

Hello

Today I'm sharing the prints from the fourth week of the @Gelliarts #marchprintingchallenge on Instagram. Timewise and inspiration-wise it's been a bit more of a challenge but glad I have persevered.

Here's week 4:

22. sunshine

23. rain

24. moon

25.sparkle - hope you can see the sparkle and iridescence

26. fruits

27. vegetables - really struggled with this and resorted to printing with veggies onto the plate

28. favourite colour - turquoise, red and white is my favourite colour combination

...and so just a few days to go. It's been fun and pushed my creativity a little at times, but that's what it's all about...isn't it?

Thank you for taking the time to look. Have a lovely week xxx

Hello

Hello

Just a quick one today to say hello. It's been a busy work week with no time (or energy) for evening crafting. I've joined the CraftWorld community and last week there was a competition to show a 'before and after' using gel prints.

You might remember this from day 1 of the GelliArts March printing challenge...

Which I used to make this...

It's been a while since I had the ribbons out!

Just need a few more ideas now for the dozens and dozens of prints I have.

Hope you have a lovely weekend and thank you for stopping by xxx

10. mountains

 11. beach

12. sky

 13. galaxy

14. happiness is...

Mother's Day Blooms

Hello

Today in the UK we celebrate Mother's Day, although I know a lot of countries celebrate in May and other months of the year.

I've made a couple of cards with the Sizzix colorize blooms dies. I enjoyed making them but I won't lie it was a very lengthy process to colour all of the card, die cut and place all the pieces.

Think the effort was worth it though.

Wishing you a very happy day wherever you are.

March printing challenge - week 1

Hello

I do find that if I can do something creative each day, however small, it does lift the spirits. Not always possible of course, but that's one reason why I have joined the @Gelliarts #marchprintingchallenge on Instagram. The joy of monoprinting with a gel plate is that it can be quite a quick process and you soon end up with a lot of prints. I've mainly used Golden open acrylic paints as they are slow drying and a little paint goes a long way.

Here's the first week:

1. flowers

2. circles

3. rainbow

4. hearts

5. feathers

6. letters

7. numbers

Do you have a favourite? Maybe the letters for me, street art inspired.

It's not too late to join in!

Have a lovely week and thank you for stopping by xxx

Cut out to be friends

Hello

Hope you are keeping well. The days are getting a little brighter and it won't be long before we change the clocks in the UK for summer time.

Today I'm sharing a bright and cheery card made for a special crafty friend to celebrate an extra special birthday.

I've stamped and cut out the images, colouring them with my new creamy smooth Blackwing pencils, before sticking them onto an acetate circle for support. This close up shows the sparkle better.

I've used the stamps from Creative Stamping issue 91. Perfect for all my crafty friends.

Creative Stamping Magazine #91

I think this is another set I shall be dipping into again.

Thank you for taking the time to look. Have a great day xx
