U is for Urban

A two post day! This fortnight the letter is U for The Craft Barn dictionary challenge. The perfect opportunity to use my new Carabelle Studio London stamp.

The image was stamped in Versafine and embossed in black. With a mask to cover the focal image, the background was coloured using Brusho with Distress Ink stencilled over the top. Parts of the image were highlighted with ProMarkers before adding the definition.

Materials used:
Carabelle Studio: London
Brusho: grey, light brown, dark brown
Distress Ink:  wild honey, vintage photo, ground espresso
Dina Wakley Media: paint comb squares

  1. Wow, oh wow. I love that stamp. It certainly illustrates your chosen word well. Of course, I like the entire piece, but the stamp immediately caught my eye!

  2. Great word choice, lovely stamp and background! xx

  3. The background is superb and that stamp... been looking at it and its siblings, trying hard to resist!!

    1. It really stamps well. I was tempted as I have friends and family abroad and thought I might use it as a Christmas stamp...still working on it!

  4. Awesome; great word. Thank you so much for sharing with the Craft Barn Alpha Challenge xx

  5. Great way to use the letter Claire and I so love these Carabelle stamps. Happy crafting, Angela x

  6. I love the way the squares echo the height of the buildings. A fabulous page.

  7. Wow, I love that stamp, and it really pops up from the background. The background is gorgeous: such an unique, grungy effect!
