Lockdown Lola

Hello

At last a chance to catch up with a bit of blogging. Today I'm sharing a project that I've been working on for a few weeks, hence the lack of papercrafting recently. It's an acrylic painting of my sister's cat taken during lockdown.

 Here's the original photo.

I felt it summed up a lot about being restricted and not able to move freely. The wistfulness, and also after a while, the apathy.

Things are cautiously beginning to get back to normal here. Fingers crossed we can keep it going.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by. Hope you have a lovely carefree day ahead xxx

Thank you for sharing, this is really lovely!!!!
I also love seeing the process and the original photo, thanks for the intermediate steps!
Should have a try (one day, sure I think) on painting in this way.
Have a wonderful weekend, fingers crossed as you say to get back to normal, but nothing is less sure, sadly...

  2. Beautiful piece Claire, I know how he feels. Hope you had a lovely visit to Lincoln. I've not been to the park today as I went to the Craft Club and what a great day seeing all my crafty friends. Enjoy your holiday, hugs Angela xXx

  3. So pleased to see the steps for this painting, Claire. I love the cat's expression and how you depicted the fur. Yes, things will get back to normal soon but I think, sadly, this might be a NEW normal rather than our old one!
