I is for Imagination

Hi there
I'm scraping in with my Craft Barn Dictionary challenge project at the last minute. I thought it would be a quick one but it's taken me a bit longer than I expected. I've used paint and masks to create the silhouette and background, then stamped in Memento ink and added a little colour with white paint pen and ProMarkers.

I'm afraid that life seems to have run away with me at the moment so I'm not sure I will be able to get around to commenting on everyone's posts this fortnight but I will do my best to take a look when I can.

Give Thanks

Happy Thanksgiving to American friends celebrating today.

The card template was cut with a Silhouette Studio design. The leaves were coloured with ProMarkers and stamped with gold paint. The the middle layer was sprayed with Color Bloom in golden walnut and fire needles. The sentiment was computer generated and cut out and the background coloured and stamped in Distress Ink. All that was left was to assemble the pieces.

It's always good to take the time to reflect and be thankful for what we have. xxx

Materials used:
Silhouette Studio digital die cut
white card
patterned paper
small texture stamp free with magazine
Color Bloom sprays
Distress Ink
Viva Decor Maya Gold

Snowflake

Hi there
It's snowflake week at The Craft Barn. I really had fun with this project. For full details pop over to The Craft Barn blog. There are lots of very pretty projects this week.

It's definitely been getting chillier. Only a matter of time before we get the snow! Best we all stay indoors and do a bit of crafting! 😉

U is for Urban

A two post day! This fortnight the letter is U for The Craft Barn dictionary challenge. The perfect opportunity to use my new Carabelle Studio London stamp.

The image was stamped in Versafine and embossed in black. With a mask to cover the focal image, the background was coloured using Brusho with Distress Ink stencilled over the top. Parts of the image were highlighted with ProMarkers before adding the definition.

Materials used:
Carabelle Studio: London
Brusho: grey, light brown, dark brown
Distress Ink:  wild honey, vintage photo, ground espresso
Dina Wakley Media: paint comb squares

Wax, Paper and Acetate

Hi
The temperature has really dropped and it is beginning to feel a lot more wintry. I'm even beginning to think about Christmas just a few weeks away. Over at The Craft Barn this week the projects have all used different forms of wax, paper and acetate. I've made a winter scene diorama and you can get full intructions by following this link.

Maybe grab a hot chocolate and check out all of the fabulous projects on their blog this week.
