Butterfly tag

Hello

Today I'm sharing a tag made for the summer mini tag challenge with Isa on Facebook. I can't recommend this group enough. Isa is a very generous host with lots of FB and YouTube lives in the month and prize giveaways.

This tag was made for the theme transparent. I'm afraid I went with the obvious butterfly.

I stamped the butterfuly on white card and acetate. I embossed the acetate one, which was a bit tricky as it was ordinary acetate and nearly melted! I added a little gold gilding wax in places.

As the tag turned out better than I expected I made a matching birthday card.

The background stamp is from Studiolight, the butterfly IndigoBlu and the sentiment Elizabeth Designs.

August tagalong

Hello

A very quick one today partly because I have been on holiday and also because my holiday souvenir was COVID on return. I'm gradually feeling better but get tired quickly so speedy crafting is all I can manage!

Here's my mini tag on the theme of floral for Isa's challenge.

The flowers and trellis are from Card Making Magic magazine and the sentiment is from Katzelkraft.

It was definitely worth getting COVID though as we visited Svalbard and crossed the 80th parallel north; seeing polar bear, walrus, blue whale, minke whale, bearded and harp seal, reindeer, a stunning ivory gull and many other arctic birds.

The glaciers were incredible and will definitely inpire me to a bit of painting at some point in the future.

Thank you for stopping by. Have a lovely weekend xxx

Indian beauty

Hello

A quick one today sharing a card made with GiogioCraft stencils and DaliArt stamps.

For the figure I used Inktense pencil through the stencil and then watercoloured over it to set the ink. Detail was added with gel pens and a gold glitter pen.

The sparkle was very difficult to capture in the photo!

Hope you have a lovely crafty week. Thank you for stopping by xx

Fabulous at 50

Hello

Today I'm sharing a birthday card which I very much hope has arrived on time (as last year it was weeks late).

First I stencilled the figure and masked it off, before adding the background with Distress Oxide through one of the new GiogioCraft stencils. I left the mask in place while I stamped some pink dots and spattered some ink. Then I added the flowers using stamp pairs with the solid and outline shapes. The numbers are die cut from glitter card, with a bit of Wink of Stella on her flowers to tie it all together.

I used pencil for a little shadow to give depth, but the card is actually flat apart from the numbers.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by. Your comments are always welcome.

Have a lovely week xx
