Cats in pots

Hello

Today I'm sharing a couple more cards made using my current favourite technique...

...stamp the image, mask it off, swipe the card through spritzed Distress Ink...

...add some stencilling...

 ...add some stamping...

...and finish off with some colouring and a few splatters.

I think I like the second border better. What do you think?

Have a lovely day. Thank you for stopping by xx

Strut your stuff

Hello

I've been off on holiday to Sicily, being inspired by the magnificent landscapes and ancient monuments. Plenty to draw and paint...sometime...in the future...when life is less busy. Now I'm catching up with a bit of crafting as the birthday card box is looking a bit empty.

I wanted to batch make some cards but not have too many the same, so I stuck to one technique and repeating colours.

First step was to stamp the Katzelkraft cat on watercolour paper and mask it off using sticky note paper. Next I smooshed the Distress Ink on the mat, spritzed it with water and swiped the card through it. I added some splatters in the same scattered straw and also peacock feathers.

Next step was to stencil swirls using a Giogiocraft stencil in scattered straw and picked raspberry.

I masked off the centre of the card and added a border before adding colour to the cat with watercolour pencil.

I've left space for the option to add a greeting at a later stage.

I tried a second one and added in a little extra stencilling with one of the lovely Giogiocraft gates.

I love these jaunty cats. Now I wonder where she's off to?

I hope this week brings a spring to your step. Thank you for stopping by xxx

Spring time

Hello

A quick share today of a couple of cards made for family. My lovely husband recently brought me back some stamps from his travels to Lille. Even though a craft shop is far from his natural habitat he always pops in and tries to find me something he thinks I won't have.

This time he spotted some cute Easter bunnies which I combined with some Katzelkraft fungi.

I couldn't decide which colour scheme I preferred. Which do you like?

I hope you have a great week. Thank you for stopping by xx

Hello

Hello

Today I'm sharing a tag made for the monthly challenge with Isa. The challenge is to use some kind of see through pocket with the prompts and colours from the moodboard.

I started by 3D embossing a tag with a wood effect embossing folder and used Distress Inks to colour it.

I stamped the vases on acetate and coloured them on the back with alcohol markers. A quick blast with the heat tool helped to set the ink. The flowers were stamped on card, fussy cut and coloured with brush markers. It was definitely tricky just gluing around the edges of the acetate.

The flowers just about poke into the tops of the vases...

...fingers crossed acetate vases count as a see through pocket!

Thank you for popping by. Your comments are always welcome. xxx
