Wisley in winter and street art in Bristol

Hello

I've had a busy week with lots of meeting up with friends and family. I managed a walk around Wisley RHS gardens with my sister and was inspired to paint a picture to capture the winter colours.

I used acrylic paint, paint pens and ink.

We also had a lovely weekend with friends in Bristol and had a Sunday morning walk around the North Street area in Bedminster, looking at all of the amazing street art. Too many to share them all but here are a few of my favourites...

I love the idea of public art, beautiful, inspiring work free for everyone to enjoy. I hope you've found some inspiration too.

Thank you for stopping by. Hope you have a lovely week xx

Shoreditch Street Art

Hello

My lovely husband bought me a street art experience which I was eventually able to do a few weeks ago. Unfortunately it was a rather wet and wild day so the photographic opportunities were a bit limited. Steve Bell of Digital Denizens rescued the day from being a wash out with lots of interesting facts about  London street art history.

There were a few stand out works for me and an introduction to Otto Schade.

And I loved this one from Dan Kitchener...

Always good to see old favourites...Stik

...and Thierry Noir

Mr Cenz always one of my favourites...

...and so many more...

I love the philosophy of street art, free for all, ever changing, vibrant and often has a really thought provoking message.

Hope these photos have brightened your day.
