Fanciful Plantation

Hi there
I have had great fun playing with PaperArtsy Infusions and the new Elena Zinski stamps for The Craft Barn theme this week. I managed to get myself very sticky in the process of turning a cheap £2 glass vase into something more exotic!

X is for Xylem

This fortnight on The Craft Barn dictionary challenge the letter is X. I was desperate not to do Xmas and so when I saw the new Carabelle Studio stamps one sprung to mind with possibilities...something a bit more abstract this time. X is for xylem, the system which transports water from the roots around a plant.

The background was made with layers of Fresco Finish paint through the 'Around the World' mask. The 'Circles and Dots' stamp was stamped on tissue, painted white on the back and adhered with gel medium. A second one was stamped and cut into individual circles. Colour was added with Derwent Inktense blocks and finally the Distress Ink was used through the mask on the edges.
