Snowflake

Hi there
It's snowflake week at The Craft Barn. I really had fun with this project. For full details pop over to The Craft Barn blog. There are lots of very pretty projects this week.

It's definitely been getting chillier. Only a matter of time before we get the snow! Best we all stay indoors and do a bit of crafting! 😉

U is for Urban

A two post day! This fortnight the letter is U for The Craft Barn dictionary challenge. The perfect opportunity to use my new Carabelle Studio London stamp.

The image was stamped in Versafine and embossed in black. With a mask to cover the focal image, the background was coloured using Brusho with Distress Ink stencilled over the top. Parts of the image were highlighted with ProMarkers before adding the definition.

Materials used:
Carabelle Studio: London
Brusho: grey, light brown, dark brown
Distress Ink:  wild honey, vintage photo, ground espresso
Dina Wakley Media: paint comb squares

Wax, Paper and Acetate

Hi
The temperature has really dropped and it is beginning to feel a lot more wintry. I'm even beginning to think about Christmas just a few weeks away. Over at The Craft Barn this week the projects have all used different forms of wax, paper and acetate. I've made a winter scene diorama and you can get full intructions by following this link.

Maybe grab a hot chocolate and check out all of the fabulous projects on their blog this week.

Enjoy the Day

More cards using one of my current favourite techniques, not least because once you get started you can make quite a few cards fairly quickly. The wording is cut on a digital die cutting machine and coloured with alcohol pens. The backgrounds are stencilled using Distress Ink and stamping or ink splatters added. Gel pens add a little more interest and depth and a few sequins finish it all off.

Materials used:
GiogioCraft stencils: floral circle, vortex spiral
Distress Ink pads and reinkers
ProMarkers
sequins
gel pens
