Hello
I'm back after a bit of a break. This time of year gets very busy with lots of family celebrations, but hopefully there will be a bit more crafting time on the horizon. Today I'm sharing a card made for the TAWI challenge back in April. The challenge was to make a trifold card with the spring mood board colours.
This card has now gone to a good home!
Thank you for stopping by. Have a lovely week xx
Hello
A quick one today sharing the tag made with the left over card from the previous post.
The tag is for the #tagalongwith Isa challenge on FB. This month it had to include the mood board ideas and arrows.
Dare I say it but I'm not a big fan of these warm colour palettes...looking forward to something bluer and cooler!
Thank you for stopping by. Your comments are always appreciated and I will endeavour to visit your blogs as well. xx
Hello
Finally it feels as if summer could actually be here! Today I'm sharing a card made for the craft group hosted by Isa on FB.
I had to try and follow a sketch layout, include the moodboard colours and images and have string and a double or triple layer. Quite a challenge!
I started by smooshing card through Distress Ink spritzed with water. I did enough to make at least two cards and a tag (will need that later for another project).
Next I rummaged through my stash of stamps from Creative Stamping magazine to find some summery images and used watercolour pencils to colour them.
All set for a summer birthday...there are quite a few in my family and it's good to be prepared for once!
I hope the sun is smiling on you and you have a lovely day. Thanks for stopping by xxx
Hello
Today I'm sharing one of a batch of identical cards I've made...just waiting to be personalised.
The stamping was done using a platform so it was easy to replicate the design. I started by stamping the meerkat, masking it off, and then adding the other stamping around it. A quick bit of personalisation with the birthday date on the calendar and job done.
I ended up with ten cards in the end. This should sort me out for a few masculine birthdays over the next year.
Thank you for stopping by. Have a lovely day xx
Hello
I've run out of time again! Just sharing a picture created a long time ago with one of my favourite stamps the Craft Individuals Crowned Bunnies.
They always make me smile and I hope they will make you smile too.
Have a lovely day xx
Hello
A quick one today sharing one of the designs I've been playing with for a craft night. I'm hoping to introduce the group to heat embossing. One or two may have done it before, but I think it will be new to most.
I've made two cards, nearly identical, with both black and white embossing. The first using watercolour...
...and the second with marker pens and Distress Ink.
I really can't decide which I prefer. What do you think?
Thank you for taking the time to stop by xxx
