A is for Anthropoid

This fortnight the letter for The Craft Barn dictionary challenge is A with no extra twists.  I don't get to use this stamp often so initially I thought of ape, but anthropoid is a much better definition... like a human, such as a chimpanzee, that resembles a human.  What could be more human than wearing a top hat?

Materials used:
Archival Ink: jet black
PaperArtsy Fresco Finish paint: little black dress, snowflake, London bus,
haystack, china, blue oyster
The Crafters Workshop: mini circle explosion
Stampers Anonymous: shatter THS014
Katzelkraft: so special
Impression Obsession: solar system
Kaisercraft: film edges

  1. I know what you mean about this stamp, I have it too and I don't get too use it too often. He always looks a bit creepy to me but you have made a fabulous page. I love your background, it has so much depth to it and the colours are perfect.

  3. Do I spot a fellow stamp-a-holic? I love all the above and they look so good together on this Mixed Media page with a grungy urban feel. Can't fault it!

    1. Thank you for your comment. I was aiming for that urban feel. I recently did a tour of the street art of Liverpool and was really inspired by the colours and the energy.

  4. I would have been by sooner, but late Tuesday night, thunderstorms knocked my power out. To make matters worse, my internet is having a meltdown, and I have to reboot after nearly every person I visit.

What impressed me was the unique word you chose. It was beautifully illustrated with that stamp, too. I've never seen that stamp before, but you chose your word well for its use.
