City of swifts

Hello

I think I have said before how much I really love swifts, probably as much as I love clouds. At the moment I am missing the swifts, which set off back to Africa at the end of July and start of August, so I decided a bit of swift art would be good therapy.

I used Inktense pencils with new Derwent paint pens and waterbrushes that my husband bought me for our wedding anniversary. He took me to the pencil museum in Keswick (300 miles away) for a special day out to celebrate our 20 years. True love :-)

The world's first pencil.

 Pencil art...art made from pencils!

The world's largest pencil.

My stash of goodies from the shop! Just need time to have a play with it all now.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by. Have a lovely day xx

  1. This looks so "professional" Claire! I love the colours, the contrast, the slightly abstracted houses... I'm no expert but I really like this watercolour! Hope everything is going well for you in these troubled times. x
