Hope you have all been having a good week. I've been having a play with the lovely bear from Pink Ink designs, colouring in with inktense pencils and adding a bit of stamping and stencilling.

Today I'm sharing a card using several Giogiocraft stencils and Distress Oxide ink.
I started with the macarons then masked them off to put the cup behind them. One I had stencilled the main shapes I spattered them with water to let the ink react and lift, leaving a bit of texture and added interest.
I added some grey Promarkers to give a bit of shadow and depth and masked off the images before adding some colourful spatter.
Mmm anyone else feeling a bit peckish?

A quick post today to share a card made with a Giogiocraft stencil and Derwent inktense pencils. I traced around the typewriter stencil and then built up the colours inside.
I shaved a little off the end of the pencils and diluted with water to get the ink for the splatters and finsihed it off with a text stamp from StampersAnonymous.
I enjoyed using the stencil this way so I might have an experiment with others to see if I can get the same effect. Watch this space!

I've been having a little play with some of the lovely stencils in my Giogiocraft advent calendar. First up is the little maneki-necko, beckoning cat, in the hope that 2021 brings us better fortune.
Difficult to get a decent photograph at this time of the year when there is so little daylight.

If you have been celebrating this week I do hope all went well. Where we are, we had to forgo family festivities and resort to one family bubble driving by another's home and not getting out of the car, just a wave through the windows. All quite surreal. Leaving two of us with turkey for fourteen!
Here's the last of the polar bears, for this year anyway. This time using a gel monoprint background and laser cut polar bears.
I also added a few tweaks to my Monet's The Magpie from the brilliant Something Less Boring workshop.
I really enjoyed painting this scene and now I'm eagerly anticipating snow so that I can take my own reference photos.
Right, off now to do some crafting and maximise the holiday time I have left.
