The love of swifts

Hello
Hope you have been enjoying a relaxing weekend. I was up early this morning to catch the best light and finish off a canvas I started a few weeks ago. Most of the canvas was done with stencils and I only used brushes for the swifts.

Of course the more you look the more you want to tinker but I'm blogging so I can say it's done...probably!

I absolutely adore swifts and mark the year by when they arrive and depart. Only six weeks left for me before they start to journey back. Making the most of them.

Hope you have a great week ahead. Thank you for stopping by xxx

  1. Well my weekend wasn't stressful but I wasn't productive either. I push bits of paper around and can't decide on what I want to make! Your canvas looks good Claire, the colours are harmonious and the abstract sky and grass are perfect foil for the birds. Well worth getting up early, even at the weekend! Hope your week is going well. x

  2. Hi Claire, this is beautiful. The techniques on the sky remind me of hazy summer days and the swifts are flying just like the ones we see in the park, it's perfect. Thank you so much for all the lovely comments you've made over at mine. I spoke to mum today and she sounds much better. It will take her some time to get used to being without my dad but I think she realises how lucky she is to have got over this awful virus at her age. It remains however difficult for her to understand what is going on. Hope you're keeping well and having a nice weekend. Hugs, Angela xXx
