Art journal - April

Hello

Today I'm sharing an art journal spread for a #tagalongaj challenge  If you want to know more you can see the details at Isa.C Art&Craft. The theme for this month is black and white flowers.

I started with Brusho on wet watercolour paper.

Next some stamping from PaperArtsy sets ETS06 and ETS09, with some embossed in white.

I added a little colour to the ovals with Posca paint pens and stencilled the honeycomb using a GiogioCraft stencil.

I stamped and embossed flowers from the stamp sets, cut them out and added them to the pages. I added a little stamped script in a few places.

A few bees from a Sentimentally Yours stamp set finished it off.

The bees are starting to visit the pots on my balcony as the weather warms up. Just waiting for the swifts to arrive now.

Thank you for stopping by. Have a lovely week.

  1. Oh My! Claire this is gorgeous. Love those quirky flowers and I'm sure I have those somewhere dare I say! I have got my art journal out again though I'm still not really getting my head round what I want to do in it but managed one piece. Quite like the theme too so might pop over for a better look. Oh nearly forgot, yes the dragons are definitely getting me in the mood for some art featuring them but not sure if it will be resin or maybe a journal page....we'll have to see. Take care and have a lovely day. Hugs, Angela xXx

  2. Sorry Claire you'll be fed up with me soon but just noticed the question about the fish. They do seem aware when new members arrive but don't seem to mind thwm being there. What I've noticed is that the new fish often follow the older members of the pond around as if they are using them to get to know the place. It is very soothing sitting watching them but there's quite a lot of work to keep them healthy, luckily I have a hubby who doesn't mind getting his hands dirty Lol! Hee! Hee! Now here's me thinking you were going to help me with the Art Journaling Lol! I've been watching Marta (Maremismallart) she is just brilliant and I've completed one based on something she was demonstrating. We'll just have to see how things progress xXx
