Spring is sprung

Hello

This last week has been a bit challenging with family members seemingly on a revolving door in and out of hospital...and back in again! There's been no time for crafting but I have been appreciating how pretty spring is. I'm really keen to have a play with lots of new crafting goodies but sadly no time, and no energy, at the moment.

Fortunately I have already made a few Easter/Spring cards for friends and family...mostly because I enjoy it.

The background started with a Brusho mop up sheet, with a few additional splodges added, before some stencilling with Distress Oxide through a GiogioCraft stencil. The rabbit is a Nellie's Choice stamp, the birds and twigs are from Card-io and the leaves from Lavinia. I added a few dots with Posca paint pens for blossom.

If I'm honest the twigs are actually a tree roots stamp, but turned sideways they reminded me of catkins hanging down.

I hope wherever you are, you can find a little bit of nature to bring comfort and hope.

Happy Easter xx

  1. Your life sounds so familiar to my own and I feel that I have not been a very good blogger. My mum who is now 94 takes up a lot of our time but she's worth it and it's good to see her doing well though if you asked her you would get a different comment I'm sure. The card is perfect and I love how you've use the tree roots they give the tree is slightly Japanese feel to it. Wishing you all the best and hopefully a peaceful new week ahead. Hugs, Angela xXx
