Painted Meadow

Hello there!
Last May I was exceptionally lucky to have a day painting with Jo Sheppard as a special birthday treat from a dear friend who is also venturing into the world of mixed media. We spent the morning splashing, flicking and smooching paint around and in the afternoon we turned our hands to a landscape using some of the techniques we'd been trying out.

This is where I got to by the end of the day...

And after adding a few details this is where I've decided to stop! The colours in the final photo are much truer to the original.

Just need to think of what to paint next...too many ideas, too little time!

Thank you for stopping by. Hope you have a lovely weekend. Big craft show at Ally Pally tomorrow, I'm sure something will take my fancy!

  2. Hello Claire and thank you for taking time to comment on my blog, I really appreciated it!
Have I thought about writing a book? About upcycling? Lots of time, I even started one a while ago,but can you guess , I never stick to anything. It is so hard when you just do it for the sake of it, and compelling yourself to create every single day not knowing if anyone is interested or anyone can read your stuff at all. Anyway; i hope one day to really set my mind on writing a book, I can do it! :-)
    Have a lovely day, Claire

    1. I look forward to seeing what you've been up to. I'm not doing quite as much crafting as I was and when I do get time I'm trying to do a bit more painting. I still enjoy being inspired by your projects xxx
